A distance of +-400 kilometers must be travelled between fuel stops so plan accordingly.
Abandoned vechicles in the ditch should be used as a sign to use caution
This road is used, like most northern roads, by commercial traffic. Some of the large trucks can take up the better part of the road so use caution.
Near Watson Lake
Accomodations, food and fuel can be found at the small towns of Ross River and Faro.
The motel in Ross River
The Canol Highway crosses the Robert Campbell at the small town of Ross River. A nice side diversion, the Canol is not to be missed.
The infamous sign board in Watson Lake
From Watson Lake to Faro the road surface is gravel. From Faro to Carmacks (+-170 km's) the surface is mostly paved.
